1. Fuddy-duddy
如果想說某個人非常不前衛(wèi),，思想和態(tài)度都特別保守，我們可以稱他為fuddy-duddy,，中文可以說是“老古板”,。
例：He's just an old fuddy-duddy.
他就是個老古板,。
2. Cut and dried
有些事情不用想就知道了答案，做事總愛搬出老一套,。這種情況可以用cut and dried來形容,，表示已經(jīng)沒什么新意了。
例：It was all cut and dried - the same old speakers saying the same things they said last year.
什么都是老一套,。發(fā)言的都還是去年那些人,，講的話也跟去年一樣。
3. Corny
陳芝麻爛谷子的事情又拿出來抖了…… corny本身有“谷類的”意思,，這里它的意思是指“老套的,、老土的”。
例：I know it sounds corny, but it really was love at first sight!
我知道這聽上去很老土,，但是那時真的是一見鐘情,。
4. Old-school
Old-school可不是“老學(xué)�,！钡囊馑�,。它既有“老派的，守舊的”意思,，也能表示“傳統(tǒng)的,，懷舊的”含義。
例：We had an old-school coach who made us run two kilometers every day.
我們的教練很老派,，每天都讓我們跑兩公里,。
5. Same old story
周而復(fù)始，事情一遍又一遍地發(fā)生著,，可是每次都是一個情況,，教人厭倦至極！
例：I'm tired of it, the same old story.
我已經(jīng)厭倦了,，都是老一套,。
