3 接通電話(huà) Getting through
很多人在打電話(huà)的時(shí)候,,并不會(huì)自報(bào)家門(mén),,所以你可以禮貌地問(wèn)對(duì)方的姓名,人家不會(huì)生氣的,。例子:
A: Can I speak to Mr Smith, please? / Is Mr Smith there, please?
我能和史密斯先生通話(huà)么,?/ 史密斯先生在么?
B: May I ask who's calling? / Could I have your name, please?
請(qǐng)問(wèn)您是,?/ 能否告知您的姓名,?
A: Yes, this is Tom Cruise speaking.
我是湯姆·克魯斯。
在公司里,,接起電話(huà)要先報(bào)上自己的名字,,而不是問(wèn)對(duì)方是誰(shuí),“Who's there?”聽(tīng)起來(lái)很不禮貌,。
但是不要說(shuō)“I am”或“My name is”,,直接在自己的名字后面加上“speaking”就可以了。比如,,
Hello, John Smith speaking.
你好,,我是約翰·史密斯。
最好再加上公司的名字:
?This is John Smith from China Daily.
我是中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)約翰·史密斯,。
如果對(duì)方找的人正是你,,對(duì)話(huà)則是這樣的。

4 留信息 Leaving or taking a message
對(duì)方要找的人不在,,你可以說(shuō)明情況,,注意在句首禮貌地加上“I'm afraid”或者 "I'm sorry"。比如:
I'm afraid Mr Smith is out of the office today.
抱歉史密斯先生今天不在公司,。
其他可能的情況還有:
off sick today.
請(qǐng)病假了
in a meeting.
開(kāi)會(huì)中
on holiday.
休假了
或者
I'm afraid his line is engaged.
他正在通話(huà)中,。
接下來(lái),你就可以問(wèn)對(duì)方是否需要留信息,。
A: Would you like to leave a message?
您需要留個(gè)言么,?
B: Could you ask him to call me back? / Could you ask him to return my call?
能否讓他給我回個(gè)電話(huà),?/ 能讓他給我回個(gè)電話(huà)么?
如果你想讓對(duì)方幫忙捎個(gè)信,,則要說(shuō),,Could you take a message?
5 打給陌生人 Calling someone you don't know
可能你的老板讓你給一個(gè)不認(rèn)識(shí)的人打電話(huà),,那你就應(yīng)當(dāng)先自我介紹,,然后提一提老板的名字。
