冬咚

　　We turn the last page of the calendar with mixed feelings. 2015 has been a significant and memorable year for China by anyone’s criteria. The faces of ordinary people reveal what happened in the year: excitement, hopefulness, bafflement, sorrow ... While the nation hopes for a bright future, along the way there won’t be a shortage of pleasure or pain for ordinary people.
　　我們懷著復(fù)雜的感情翻到了日歷的最后一頁,。2015年對于每個(gè)人來說,，都是意義重大而又值得紀(jì)念的一年,。透過普通人的面孔便能展示出今年發(fā)生了什么：興奮，希望,，困惑,，憂傷......雖然國家希望有一個(gè)光明的未來，但是追求光明的路上必將伴隨著普通人的歡笑和痛苦,。

It was 5:32 am when I arrived, along with a bus full of reporters, at the very center of Beijing to begin my coverage of the military parade that celebrated the 70th anniversary of World War II.

　　Months later, while recalling my experiences at the parade, I wonder if history would remember it as marking the beginning of a new era for the Chinese military.
