　　一、連詞

　　1,、而,，相反：

　　What I really need is not the red one but the black one。

　　我真正需要的不是紅色那個,，而是藍色那個,。

　　2、然而,，盡管如此：

　　When we arrived there,， we were very tired but happy。

　　到那里的時候,，我們很累,，但和高興。

　　3,、表歉意：I am sorry but I can’t help,。 很抱歉，我?guī)筒涣四恪?/font>

　　4,、表吃驚,、生氣或不同意：But that is wrong。 但那是錯的,。

　　5,、除,。。,。外,，只有：I have no choice but to wait。 除了等待,，我別無選擇,。

　　6、用在重復字詞前,，加強語氣：

　　7、強調一貫真實：

　　二、介詞,，表示“除了”：

　　三,、副詞，表示“僅僅”,，“只有”：
