英格蘭草場網(wǎng)球和門球協(xié)會人士表示,，一些16世紀(jì)就出現(xiàn)的網(wǎng)球術(shù)語這次也被納入《牛津英語詞典》,，比如“l(fā)ove、deuce和advantage”等,。這些詞語本身有自己的含義,，但在網(wǎng)球運動中有特定含義。

love: a score of 0
零分：網(wǎng)球運動中,，love指得零分

deuce: a tied score in tennis, and one player or side must win 2 successive points to win the game.
局末平分：指局末雙方選手平分情況,，這時只有一方連贏兩球才能獲得本局勝利

advantage：the point scored after deuce
領(lǐng)先一分：指deuce情況下領(lǐng)先一分。也縮寫為DEUCE Adv.
