　　看到but,，相信很多人第一反應(yīng),，就是它作為連詞，有“但是”之意。殊不知,，連詞but的意義不限于此,，且but也不是僅“連詞”一種用法！今天,，小編為大家一一梳理BUT的多種用法~~~

　　一,、連詞

　　1、而,，相反：

　　What I really need is not the red one but the black one,。

　　我真正需要的不是紅色那個(gè)，而是藍(lán)色那個(gè),。

　　2,、然而，盡管如此：

　　When we arrived there,， we were very tired but happy,。

　　到那里的時(shí)候，我們很累,，但和高興,。

　　3、表歉意：I am sorry but I can’t help,。 很抱歉,，我?guī)筒涣四恪?/font>

　　4、表吃驚,、生氣或不同意：But that is wrong,。 但那是錯(cuò)的。

　　5,、除,。。,。外,，只有：I have no choice but to wait。 除了等待,，我別無選擇,。

　　6、用在重復(fù)字詞前,，加強(qiáng)語氣：

　　Nothing,， but nothing would change the situation。

　　沒有什么,，絕對(duì)沒有什么能改變局勢(shì),。

　　7、強(qiáng)調(diào)一貫真實(shí)：

　　He never comes but he brings some presents for the children。

　　他哪次來都要給孩子們帶些禮物,。

　　8,、but for 倘若沒有，除了,。,。。之外              but then（again） 然而,，另一方面

　　not only,。。,。but also,。。,。不僅,。。,。而且,。。,。         not,。。,。but,。。,。 不是,。。,。而是,。。,。

　　二、介詞,，表示“除了”：
　　Everyone arrived there but her,。 除了她之外，大家都到那兒了,。

　　三,、副詞，表示“僅僅”，“只有”：
　　I don’t think we will succeed,。 Still,， we can but try。 我想我們成功不了,，但不妨試試,。

　　四、名詞,，常用作復(fù)數(shù),，表示“借口”、“推辭”：
