1.  Scrape by

Scrape做名詞時可以表示“困境”,，scrape by 則意指“勉強度日”,，錢不夠花啊,！

例：Borrowing money from friends and relatives helped him to scrape by.

他全靠親朋好友的金錢接濟度日,！

2.  Make ends meet

“收支相抵”、“量入為出”,，“收入微薄,，勉強過活”都是這個短語要表達的。

例：They've got to watch every penny to make ends meet.

他們得精打細算才能維持下去,。

3.  Live from hand to mouth

手里的食物僅能勉強滿足眼前的需要,，真真是月光族都談不上，勉強糊口而已�,�,！
